Microsoft Code Signing certificate is used to sign codes in either user or kernel mode and it is dedicated to programmers creating MS Windows operating system applications either for 32-bit or 64-bit platforms

Microsoft Code Signing certificate enables to sign software binary codes electronically and to have electronic signatures verified by an operating system and a recipient of an application. This certificate is compatible with Microsoft Authenticode, created by Microsoft to ensure integrity and authenticity of software operating under the control of MS Windows operating systems.
